Corporate occupational health.
Pre-employment, periodic, transfer and exit medicals for employers in Johannesburg, matched to the role, the workplace risks and your own company requirements. Assessments are conducted personally by the examining doctor, with the required investigations completed on site.
Assessments across the employment cycle.
Why employers use an independent practice.
The value of an occupational health programme is in its consistency. Assessments done to different standards, by different providers, at irregular intervals produce a record that cannot be relied on when it matters.
WorkFit conducts assessments against the standard relevant to the role, with vision, hearing and lung function testing done in-house, a radiology partner in the same building and an established pathology partner. Employees complete their assessment in one visit rather than across three appointments in three parts of the city, which is the practical difference between a programme that runs and one that slips.
Every assessment is conducted personally by the examining doctor, who holds a Diploma in Occupational Health from the University of Cape Town, awarded cum laude, and is registered with the HPCSA.
Employee information stays confidential.
Employers receive a fitness outcome, not a clinical record. The medical detail behind that outcome remains between the employee and the practice, which is both a professional obligation and a requirement of the Protection of Personal Information Act.
Our privacy and POPIA notice sets out in full what is collected, who sees it, how long it is kept and what your employees are entitled to ask for.
